Amaca Eco Station a commencé comme une merveilleuse idée pendant la crise de 2020 afin que les visiteurs du monde entier puissent profiter de la jungle du Pérou. Notre objectif est de protéger notre environnement et avec la communauté locale, de créer des opportunités de travail et de valoriser la richesse de cette flore et de cette faune.
Nous offrons deux malocas, ou constructions typiques, pour les courts et longs séjours, construites avec des feuilles sèches comme toit et du bois légal local, avec le confort de l’électricité, du wifi, d’un espace de travail, d’une cuisine et de tous les équipements dont vous avez besoin.
Nous avons le plaisir de vous inviter à participer pleinement à cette aventure où vous pourrez également faire une balade à vélo pour explorer les lagons et découvrir de nouveaux paysages, randonner sur un sentier naturel pour apprendre et observer la faune et la flore, et prendre un moment dans notre maloca spéciale pour les cérémonies, méditation, exercice et/ou détente dans nos hamacs.
SasaApril 16, 2024We had the most peaceful and relaxing stay at the Love Maloca embedded in lush jungle nature. The trail on the property is stunning, their dog Gaia is a great companion. It is the perfect place to disconnect from city life. In our case we arrived here directly after an Ayahuasca retreat closeby and were able to continue our dieta with a fully contained kitchen in the maloca. A truly unforgettable stay. La belle Gaïa, le chien de la famille a passé du temps avec nous. AlyssaMay 16, 2023I came from a retreat close by and needed a few days to unwind after. I loved my stay here! It was beautiful and a nice piece of solitude and nature. The hut is fairly big. Cynthia was gone, but Benjamin was so helpful to me for my whole stay. He brought me some great tea and a papaya, and responded to my questions whenever I needed. There are definitely critters, but I got used to them after awhile. If you’re looking for something rustic, stay here. It was a good vibe.
Julie & RussApril 27, 2023Cynthia's place is a jungle oasis. We loved being surrounded by trees and sleeping to the sounds of the frogs and insects. The bungalow is comfortable and spacious. Cynthia and Benjamin are wonderful hosts. They even let us buy a beautiful Shipibo embroidery off of the wall of the bungalow! There aren't many food options in Varillal - one restaurant an easy walk away and 2 small markets - so it's helpful to bring some things from Iquitos.

KimJanuary 22, 2023Both Cynthia & Benjamin have an incredibly beautiful energy. Upon arriving I felt immediately at home! Amaca is really well-maintained! I feel so much respect for their hard work they put in this amazing Lodge! Whenever I was in need of their assistance they would be very quick in responding. And always to be felt it was done with their pleasure! The bathroom is gorgeous;The bedroom is nice and spacious AND has a mosquito net window so you can see the sun rise through the trees into the room. The beds are very comfortable.The kitchen is well equipped.The WI-FI works super fluent! So for those who are looking to feel at peace in Jungle Nature and still have to work,… >> this is your spot!There is also a Meditation Maloka which has the possibility to do yoga, meditation,…There is also the chance to hold or receive (a) Ceremonie(s); this for sure can be talked about with Cyn or Benjamin! They are very much open for it! 🐅🤍🐅THIS SACRED SPOT DESERVES A HIGH RANKING ON AIRBNB!🤎
Notre environnement
- Nous sommes situés à seulement 14 km de l’aéroport et à 23 km de la ville d’Iquitos. A proximité (seulement 8 km) de la réserve nationale d’Allpahuayo Mishana, dans la zone tampon où vous pourrez observer des lagons caractéristiques, des palmiers et de hauts arbres fins.
- Vous pouvez visiter le CREA, ou Centro de Rescate Amazónico, un centre de secours situé à seulement 400 mètres de chez nous. Au cours de cette visite, vous apprendrez comment ils protègent les lamantins et d’autres animaux tels que les singes, les perroquets et autres.
- Il y a un magasin à seulement 10 minutes à pied où vous pouvez trouver tous les produits de base dont vous avez besoin tels que fruits, légumes, épicerie, boissons, etc. Vous pouvez également utiliser nos vélos pour ce shopping.
- Vous pouvez trouver deux restaurants avec des installations confortables et une délicieuse cuisine typique à seulement 500 mètres de chez nous. L’un propose des piscines et de grands jardins et l’autre a un goût très local.
- Si vous souhaitez profiter au mieux de la nature, sans connexion Internet, nager dans la rivière Amazonas et autres activités dans la jungle avec des guides expérimentés, nous vous suggérons le Muyuna Lodge. Si vous aimez les tyroliennes dans la canopée ainsi que d’autres activités dans la jungle, nous vous suggérons Avatar Lodge. Pour un court séjour dans plusieurs de ces activités avec un grand confort, nous suggérons Amak Iquitos Ecolodge. Nous pouvons vous aider dans les réservations de l’un d’entre eux et vous recommandons vivement pour une attention privilégiée.
Notre histoire
- Benjamin & Cynthia se sont croisés dans ce lieu et ont immédiatement commencé à travailler ensemble sur ce projet. Les deux ont plein d’idées et se complètent très bien. Ils profitent du privilège de vivre au milieu de la jungle amazonienne et souhaitent le partager avec tous leurs invités. Ils améliorent constamment Amaca Eco Station.
- Cynthia est péruvienne et après le lycée, elle a déménagé aux États-Unis pour étudier et travailler en Californie. À son retour, elle a commencé à travailler dans le tourisme depuis 1997, parcourant toute l’Amérique du Sud et visitant tous les coins du Pérou pour concevoir les meilleurs itinéraires et donner les meilleurs conseils aux voyageurs du monde entier. En 2009, elle a lancé son propre projet, “Lima Mentor”, un tour opérateur spécialisé dans la promotion des attractions de la ville de Lima, mettant en avant la culture et la gastronomie. Maintenant, elle est amoureuse du projet AMACA à Iquitos.
- Benjamin est français et y a travaillé en boulangerie/pâtisserie jusqu’à ses 25 ans, puis a commencé à voyager à travers le monde pour apprendre et découvrir d’autres modes de vie et de culture. Il a obtenu un visa de travail en Australie et en Nouvelle-Zélande en tant que boulanger et a visité divers pays d’Asie du Sud-Est. En 2020, il entame un road trip en Amérique du Sud et s’arrête à Iquitos pour s’initier aux plantes médicinales. Il s’est avéré qu’il a changé son plan en raison des événements mondiaux et a commencé à travailler sur sa nouvelle vision de vivre de manière durable pour l’environnement en respectant la nature et les communautés qui vivent ici. Maintenant, il est dans le projet AMACA mais a également trouvé Peace&Love.

De omgeving is prachtig, en de maloca's zijn ruim en schoon. Als vrouw alleen op reis, heb ik me geen enkel moment onveilig gevoeld. Ben heeft mountainbikes ter beschikking die je ieder moment van de dag kunt pakken. Ik heb prachtige fietstochten gemaakt naar de lagoons. Er is een supermarktje in de buurt waar je naar toe kunt wandelen. Ondanks dat alle faciliteiten geweldig waren, was het de host die mijn verblijf onvergetelijk heeft gemaakt. ☹Geen punten.Verified

We spent two incredible nights at Ben's Maloca and it was truly one of the most amazing experiences. The room was exceptionally well appointed and we discovered our favorite restaurant, El Mijano, nearby. Ben's place is not only nestled in stunning natural surroundings, it's also very peaceful. Besides the warm welcome from Ben himself, we were also greeted by Gaïa, a lovely girl who brought an abundance of love and tranquility to our stay. I highly recommend Ben's place if you're looking for a quiet retreat in the beauty of nature.
After a lot of hustle and bustle in Iquitos, we felt very comfortable in Amaca! Benjamin and Cynthia have put a lot of attention to detail into this beautiful place. There were two of us in the beautiful Maloca, which had a perfectly equipped kitchen with a large refrigerator and blender. A dream for us after we had been traveling for some time. If you love dogs, this is the right place for you - Gaia follows you every step of the way. In addition, you are surrounded by large and small animals, almost like you are in the jungle.
I’m so grateful I stumbled upon Amaca while searching for a quite spot in the jungle to integrate after a plant medicine retreat. The Maloca was so clean and comfortable. I had everything I needed. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure I was take care of. I couldn’t recommend Amaca more. This is a beautiful balance of comfort, incredible nature settings, jungle sounds, the convenience of shops restaurants and a wildlife rehabilitation centre within a short, charming walk. My favourite part of my experience was the beautiful bond Gaia, their dog and I shared. Looking forward to my next visit! ❤️
The two rooms are beautifully done “malocas” with a small kitchen and own bathroom in each. They are in a pretty section of the jungle not too far from town. Our hosts were kind and wonderful. For the price a truly excellent value. Highly recommended!
The owners were very friendly and let me use their WIFI for a job interview that lasted several hours, this really saved me! Thank you so much; best WIFI you can get in and around Iquitos and very nice owners :))
